The Jacaranda City has recently welcomed new business hotels that are suitable for conferencing, events and everything in-between.
What makes a good business hotel? Location is obviously important, but it’s the technology offered, the degree of comfort in the rooms, hotel facilities such as fine dining for entertaining clients and spas and gyms to keep fit and de-stress at the end of the day while travelling. These new Pretoria properties tick all these boxes and more!
Protea Hotels by Marriott Loftus Park
Located in the ever-so-exclusive Loftus Park corporate, retail and lifestyle precinct, the hotel offers 152 rooms and conference facilities as well as meeting rooms that cater for up to 180 people. There’s also a restaurant, coffee shop, rooftop swimming pool and bar lounge with panoramic views of the city (perfect for sundowners with your team!). You couldn’t ask for a more convenient location than this – the hotel is situated in Arcadia, which is fast becoming a booming business and leisure destination with its central location, quick access to the Hatfield Gautrain Station and easy access to Joburg and OR Tambo International Airport.

What sets this hotel apart from the rest? For starters, it’s the first multi-star-rated hotel in the country, meaning it has three, four and five-star accommodation and facilities so it’s ideal for corporates whose companies preclude them from staying in the higher rated hotels. Then there are the bespoke personal touches for the five-star guests, such as their own check-in and dining areas (how fancy?). The hotel has 238 rooms in 10 room types and two suites. The conference venues include meeting, breakaway and seminar rooms seating from five to 144 delegates. Other facilities include two pools and a gym.

The Capital Menlyn Maine
Nestled in the bustling Menlyn Maine precinct, the hotel features 200 one, two and three-bedroom hotel apartments, a 240-seat conference centre that can be split into three and can accommodate up to 80 delegates in a banquet or classroom style. There’s also a 50-seat breakaway room, two meeting rooms and an events deck with a purpose-designed marquee that can accommodate up to 450 delegates. And that’s not all – the in-house Koi Restaurant is a foolproof place to close a deal thanks to its fine selection of sushi and seafood and extensive wine list!

The Regency Apartment Hotel
Arguably the city’s trendiest corporate accommodation right now, this ‘urban’ hotel was created with a focus on offering corporates luxury and convenience. The hotel has 220 suites, each kitted out with state-of-the-art Miele appliances, in-suite air-conditioning, free WiFi and 24-hour room service. The conference and meeting rooms can accommodate up to 80 people and are available for corporates on request. Soon, there will be an adjoining conference facility next door that will accommodate conferences of up to 250 people.
